“… The Shift in Human Nature

You're starting to see integrity change. Awareness recalibrates integrity, and the Human Being who would sit there and take advantage of another Human Being in an old energy would never do it in a new energy. The reason? It will become intuitive, so this is a shift in Human Nature as well, for in the past you have assumed that people take advantage of people first and integrity comes later. That's just ordinary Human nature.

In the past, Human nature expressed within governments worked like this: If you were stronger than the other one, you simply conquered them. If you were strong, it was an invitation to conquer. If you were weak, it was an invitation to be conquered. No one even thought about it. It was the way of things. The bigger you could have your armies, the better they would do when you sent them out to conquer. That's not how you think today. Did you notice?

Any country that thinks this way today will not survive, for humanity has discovered that the world goes far better by putting things together instead of tearing them apart. The new energy puts the weak and strong together in ways that make sense and that have integrity. Take a look at what happened to some of the businesses in this great land (USA). Up to 30 years ago, when you started realizing some of them didn't have integrity, you eliminated them. What happened to the tobacco companies when you realized they were knowingly addicting your children? Today, they still sell their products to less-aware countries, but that will also change.

What did you do a few years ago when you realized that your bankers were actually selling you homes that they knew you couldn't pay for later? They were walking away, smiling greedily, not thinking about the heartbreak that was to follow when a life's dream would be lost. Dear American, you are in a recession. However, this is like when you prune a tree and cut back the branches. When the tree grows back, you've got control and the branches will grow bigger and stronger than they were before, without the greed factor. Then, if you don't like the way it grows back, you'll prune it again! I tell you this because awareness is now in control of big money. It's right before your eyes, what you're doing. But fear often rules. …”

Shooting and smoke in Tripoli

Resistance against Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has spread from the east of the country to the capital Tripoli. The Dutch ambassador Gerard Steeghs is close to the scene of the protests. During the night he heard “constant shooting” and saw plumes of smoke rising over the old city.

“Last night for a long time I slept with the window open,” says Mr Steeghs. “I could hear constant shooting and a crowd chanting slogans. This morning I drove from my home to the embassy, a journey of around 15 kilometres, and I passed burnt barricades surrounded by a lot of stones and other traces of violence from last night.”

Mr Steeghs says he did not feel in any particular danger while travelling to the embassy. He made the journey in convoy with another vehicle, and during the day Tripoli is fairly peaceful. The same is true of the eastern city of Benghazi, where the protests against Colonel Gaddafi began.

The neighbourhood surrounding the Dutch embassy in Tripoli has also been the scene of protests. “There’s a police station around the corner with two burnt out police cars in front of it. In front of the embassy there is also evidence of violence. In short, it’s not been terribly cheerful here recently.”

Attacks

Mr Steeghs says it’s hard to gauge the nature of the protest in Tripoli, and whether they are comparable to those in the east. “But there have certainly been demonstrations and protests here against the regime. There has certainly been shooting. Also, police stations have certainly been set on fire and barricades erected – which have now largely been removed. There are also plumes of smoke over the old city and any reminders of the forty-year regime have been smashed to pieces around the city’s central Green Square.”

At the same time as the popular uprising, Libya is also experiencing another phenomenon, according to the ambassador. “From EU colleagues I’ve heard that armed Libyans have been carrying out attacks on encampments of employees of foreign companies. A sort of lawlessness is developing. Criminal elements are seizing the opportunity for looting. But that’s a different matter from the protests against the regime.”
