Dutch firms are still doing business in Russia, Yale database shows

A number of Dutch companies are continuing to do business in Russia alongside Heineken, which was slammed earlier this week for launching new products on the Russian market.

 Lighting company Signify, coffee company JDE Peets, banking group ING and Philips are among the companies which are ‘buying time’ in Russia, according to a database of 1,200 companies compiled by researchers at Yale University. 

The Yale database includes 50 Dutch firms and none are classified as ‘digging in’, which means carrying on business as normal. 

The database is based on company statements and news coverage. Heineken is listed as one of 18 Dutch firms to withdraw completely, despite a report by Follow the Money earlier this week that the company is still operating in Russia. 

Heineken says its Russian unit is up for sale and says the introduction of new beers is something ‘our local colleagues have done to keep the company going and to ensure their livelihoods are not at risk.

’ ‘We will not profit from any sale or transfer of ownership. We aim to reach an agreement in the first half of 2023,’ according to the company’s 2022 annual report. 

Questions 

Representatives from ING, Philips and JDE Peet’s (Douwe Egberts) appeared earlier this month before a committee of MPs to explain why they were still operating in Russia, despite the sanctions. 

ING’s operations there mainly consist of company loans and the bank is trying to recover the money, chairman Steven van Rijswijk told MPs. ‘If we don’t then it is a gift to the Russian client,’ he said. 

Philips spokesman Jan-Willem Scheijgrond told MPs that the company only supplies hospital equipment to Russian hospitals, and that the situation has been discussed with the Ukrainian authorities. ‘

They don’t like it but they understand it. It is a humanitarian issue,’ he said. ‘They said, “go ahead but don’t make any money on it”. We don’t. We make a loss.’ 

On Wednesday, national statistics agency CBS said Dutch exports to Russia had fallen by 38% since Moscow invaded Ukraine a year ago.

Pink Floyd have written their first new song in almost 30 years to support Ukrainians, the band announced on Thursday. 

"Hey, Hey, Rise-Up!" will be released on Friday, and be used to raise funds for humanitarian causes linked to the war. 

It samples Andriy Khlyvnyuk, from one of Ukraine's biggest bands BoomBox, singing in Sofiyskaya Square in Kyiv in a clip that went viral. 

Khlyvnyukh abandoned a world tour to return to Ukraine and help defend his country. 

"We, like so many, have been feeling the fury and the frustration of this vile act of an independent, peaceful democratic country being invaded and having its people murdered by one of the world's major powers," Pink Floyd said on their official Twitter feed. 

In a press release, band leader David Gilmour said he had been moved by Khlyvnyuk's video: "It was a powerful moment that made me want to put it to music." 

He was able to speak with Khlyvnyuk from his hospital bed in Kyiv, where the singer was recovering after being hit by shrapnel in a mortar attack, the record company said. 

"I played him a little bit of the song down the phone line and he gave me his blessing. We both hope to do something together in person in the future," Gilmour said. 

The image accompanying the song is of a sunflower, and was inspired by a viral video showing a Ukrainian woman insulting two armed Russian soldiers. 

In it, she tells the soldiers: "Take these seeds and put them in your pockets. That way sunflowers will grow when you all rest here." 

It is the first original music from Pink Floyd since 1994's "The Division Bell". 

Gilmour tweeted his opposition to the war soon after Russia's invasion, saying: "Putin must go". 

The band has also pulled their music from Russian and Belarusian streaming sites in protest at the invasion.

Dutch launch English website for Ukrainian refugees in NL

Dutch refugee organisation Vluchtelingenwerk Nederland and the Red Cross have launched an English-language website gathering together information for Ukrainian nationals who have fled the war and come to the Netherlands. 

Refugeehelp.nl is aimed at both Ukrainians and people who want to help the relief effort and includes information about housing, schools and work as well as what to do with pets.

Thousands open their homes to Ukrainian refugees 

Some 8,000 Ukrainian nationals have arrived in the Netherlands so far but the government expects at least 50,000 people, mainly women and children, to come. 

The government is currently deciding on what residence status Ukrainians should be given, which will determine their options to work. This should be finalised by April 1. 

In the meantime, preparations are being made to ensure that an estimated 15,000 to 25,000 children can go to school, and start learning Dutch. In particular, officials are looking at involving teachers from the Ukrainian community itself, immigration minister Eric van de Burg said. 

Ukrainian nationals are free to travel within the EU for a maximum of 90 days a year without a visa but that has been extended in view of the war.

Paris (AFP) – Prima ballerina Olga Smirnova has quit the Bolshoi in Moscow to join the Dutch National Ballet, it was announced Wednesday, making her the first Russian to quit the fabled company over the war in Ukraine. 

"Smirnova was outspoken in her recent denouncement of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which is making it untenable for her to work in her native country," the Dutch company said in a statement. 

Smirnova is one of the biggest stars of the Bolshoi and had already expressed her opposition to the war on messaging app Telegram earlier this month. 

"I am against war with all the fibres of my soul," she wrote. 

"It is not only about every other Russian perhaps having relatives or friends living in Ukraine, or about my grandfather being Ukrainian... It is that we continue to live as if this were the 20th century." 

Several foreigners have quit their positions in Russia since the invasion, but Smirnova is by far the biggest local star to leave. 

"I never thought I would be ashamed of Russia, I have always been proud of talented Russian people, of our cultural and athletic achievements. But now I feel that a line has been drawn that separates the before and the after," she wrote on Telegram. 

"We cannot remain indifferent to this global catastrophe," she added. 

Smirnova said the Dutch National Ballet would be "a good fit" and that she had been considering a move even before the conflict. 

"It is a privilege to have her dance with our company in the Netherlands -- even if the circumstances that drove this move are incredibly sad," said its director Ted Brandsen in the statement.

Princess Amalia, and 100,000 other Dutch girls, get their call up papers

Some 100,000 17-year old girls in the Netherlands will be receiving their call up papers this week, informing them they are now eligible for military service should it be required. 

Active military service was abolished in 1997 but a change in the law agreed in 2018 means girls too will now be sent a letter in the year they turn 17 informing them they have been added to the military service register. 

They can be called up at any time if the Netherlands goes to war with another country before they turn 45. 

The letter will also alert girls to the possibility of a career in the military. Despite a number of campaigns women only account for 10% of military personnel. ‘It’s increasing slightly but it is very difficult to find women who want an army job,’ a ministry of defence spokesman told broadcaster Nos. 

There has never been a situation in the Netherlands where the army of reserves has had to spring into action since compulsory military service was abolished in 1997.

‘But we don’t know what may happen in future and if the safety of the country is at stake it may be necessary for all boys and girls to called up,’ defence minister Ank Bijleveld said in a message to the girls. 

It is not known what princess Amalia, who turns 17 in December, will do about her letter, state information service RVD told Nos. ‘We cannot at this time say what princess Amalia will decide about the way she will be introduced to the army as part of her future duties,’ the RVD said. 

Princess Amalia is the first female heir to the throne to receive a call up letter. Her father, king Willem-Alexander, opted for the navy where he was trained as an officer and formed part of a frigate crew on several occasions. Female royals have never had a military function and by constitutional law Dutch heads of state do not take the function of commander in chief.

Defence minister to compensate Iraqi after faulty intelligence led to bombing raid

The Dutch defence ministry is to pay an undisclosed amount of money in compensation to an Iraqi man who lost most of his family when Dutch F16 bombers blew up his house in 2015. 

The bombing raid on the house in Mosul took place because the international coalition fighting IS forces in Iraq erroneously believed that its occupants were linked to the militant Islamic organisation. 

Basim Razzo lost his wife, daughter, a brother and a cousin in the raid. 

Defence minister Ank Bijleveld said briefing to MPs that the payment is intended to compensate Bassim Razzo for ‘the enormous human suffering’ he has had to deal with as well as material damage. 

However, the payment did not mean the Netherlands is admitting liability, she said. 

Lawyer Liesbeth Zegveld said in a reaction that her client is extremely happy with the compensation. ‘The Netherlands is not usually so prepared to pay out, and then cases like this end up in court,’ she told broadcaster NOS. 

The Netherlands is facing another claim for damages from dozens of Iraqi nationals who lost their homes and families during a raid on an IS bomb factory in Hawija that same year.

On Holocaust Memorial Day, Dutch PM apologises for government role during WWII

Prime minister Mark Rutte used his speech during the national Holocaust Memorial Day ceremony in Amsterdam on Sunday to apologise for the actions of the Dutch government during World War II. 

‘Now that the last survivors are still among us, I apologise today on behalf of the government for what the government did back then,’ Rutte said. 

It is because so few survivors are still allive that ‘we must fully acknowledge what happened at the time,’ Rutte said, speaking at the Nooit meer Auschwitz memorial in Amsterdam’s Wertheim park.  

‘When a group of countrymen were set aside, excluded and dehumanised under a murderous regime, we failed,’ he said. And while there was some resistance within government, ‘too many Dutch officials carried out what the occupiers demanded of them,’ he said.

Rutte said he was apologising in the knowledge that ‘no word can express something as big and horrific as the Holocaust’.

‘It is up to us, the post-war generations, to continue to commemorate, to honour the dead by name,’ the prime minister said. 

The Netherlands is still struggling to come to terms with the way it treated Jews who returned home in 1945 and whose property and possessions had been stolen or lost. 

Few survivors 

Only 35,000 of the country’s Jewish population of 140,000 survived the war and 102,000 of the 107,000 who were deported to death camps were killed. 

Those who returned found their houses and possession had been taken, and many were presented with bills for unpaid taxes and ground rent for their homes, scandals which are only now finally being dealt with. 

In 2018, Dutch state-owned railway firm NS said it would pay compensation to survivors and family members of people it transported to death camps. 

NS earned large amounts of money from the German occupiers by transporting Jews to Westerbork, the holding camp where people were kept before being moved out to Germany and Poland. 

The prime minister’s apology has been welcomed by Jewish groups and survivors. In 2012, Rutte said the cabinet saw no reason to apologise for the Dutch government’s attitude to Jews during World War II.

Palace Het Loo returns Nazi loot to heirs of Jewish banker

Part of an 18th century set of Meissen tableware included in the art collection of royal palace Het Loo in Apeldoorn is Nazi loot and must now be returned to the heirs of German-Jewish banker Herbert Gutmann, the culture ministry has decided. 

The ministry has decided to act on the advice of the Restitution Commission which found that the 14 pieces in question were sold off by Gutmann under duress from the Nazis in 1934. 

Two other Dutch museums, the Rijksmuseum and the Zuiderzeemuseum, also have plates from the tableware set which consisted of over 435 pieces in total. It depicts VOC-related scenes of towns and villages and was a present from the company to stadholder Willem V (1748-1806). 

All the objects are part of the Dutch national art collection and are the property of the Dutch state. 

The Gutmann family had asked the ministry for the return of the pieces in 2015 when art detective Arthur Brand traced the origin of the tableware. 

Although the pieces were acquired legitimately, the ministry agreed that Gutmann had been forced to part with the objects through circumstances directly related to the anti-Jewish policy of the German Nazi regime. They are therefore considered Nazi loot and must be returned. 

Some of the tableware was bought by former queen Juliana in the 1970s and included in the palace museum collection. The sauce boats were bought by Het Loo from art dealers Bernhard Stodel in Amsterdam in 1975.

‘The two sauceboats in particular are unique because they are in such a good condition,’ Het Loo spokeswoman Laura Brown told the AD.

‘These pieces are now in storage and there is a possibility they will remain in Apeldoorn. The heirs have not decided yet what they will do and some have said they would prefer the pieces to stay at a museum where they are safe.’

Minister confirms a Dutch bomb led to 70 deaths in Iraq in 2015

The Netherlands has admitted that one of its fighter jets was responsible for the attack on a ISIS bomb-making factory in Iraq in 2015 in which 70 people died.

It is the first time the Dutch government has given concrete details about its role in the air strikes against ISIS targets. Last month, the defence ministry had refused to deny or confirm whether the Netherlands was involved in bombardment, following claims in the Dutch media. 

The attack, one of the bloodiest in the international effort to combat IS, destroyed a complete neighbourhood in the town of Hawija. 

Reuters reported at the time that 70 civilians had been killed and said the bomb attack ‘triggered a series of secondary explosions that reduced the surrounding area in the industrial district to rubble’. And the Pentagon said three weeks after the attack it would formally investigate the incident, confirming that some 70 people had died. 

Dutch defence minister Ank Bijleveld has now told MPs in a briefing that Dutch bombs were involved in the attack. 

The information which the bomb factory attack was based on, later turned out to have been incomplete and at the time it had been assumed no-one lived in the vicinity, the minister said. In addition, officials had been surprised by the large amounts of explosives in the factory, which led to a second explosion that flatted the area around the plant. 

Regret 

The minister said the Netherlands deeply regretted the deaths of civilians, particularly given that the Dutch approach had been to prevent secondary damage and human deaths. ‘But this was a war situation in which these risks can never be completely ruled out,’ she said. 

Former defence minister Jeanine Hennis was wrong when she told parliament shortly after the bomb factory attack that no citizens had been killed by Dutch actions in the region. Hennis, now UN special representative in Iraq, declined to comment, broadcaster NOS said. 

Dutch F16s were used in Iraq and Syria between 2014 and 2016 and in 2018 as part of the international coalition against IS. In total they were involved with 2,100 bombing raids. Dutch military operations are extremely sensitive to the possibility of civilian casualties since the Srebrenica massacre in 1998, and all involvement in military missions has to be cleared by parliament.

Ministers back plans for an extra day off on May 5 to celebration Liberation Day

The cabinet has agreed to do its utmost to make sure as many workers as possible have a day off on Liberation Day, prime minister Mark Rutte told MPs on Wednesday. 

Social affairs minister Wouter Koolmees will kick off the talks by approaching employers and unions about the option of having an extra day of paid holiday on May 5, Rutte said. 

Days off are regulated in pay and conditions agreements, and are not subject to political interference. ‘But let us try and get it organised,’ Rutte said. 

Liberation Day is a national holiday, along side January 1, Kings Day and Ascension Day, two days at Easter, two days at Christmas and one at Whitsun. But most pay deals do not give their staff the day off on May 5 although some include a paid day’s holiday every five years. 

Civil servants are free on May 5 and schools are closed. 

D66 MPs say they are prepared to sacrifice Whit Monday as a paid day’s leave, but that drew ire from the small Christian party ChristenUnie. An extra day off on May 5 should not be at the expense of a Christian holiday, CU leader Gert Jan Segers said.

75 years since Operation Market Garden marked by veterans and royalty

World War Two veterans, royalty, ministers and thousands of well-wishers took part in events in and around Arnhem this weekend to commemorate Operation Market Garden 75 years ago. 

Operation Market Garden was an attempt to liberate the north of the Netherlands from the Nazis in September 1944, which ultimately failed with great loss of life among the allied forces. 

Some 35,000 British, US and Polish forces were dropped by parachute and glider behind enemy lines in an effort to open a way into Germany. But despite initial victories, they did not manage to secure eight bridges crossing the river Rhine. 

‘The battle was tough, brutal and vicious,’ Dutch defence minister Ank Bijleveld said at a ceremony to commemorate the battles, immortalised in the film A Bridge too Far. 

Britain’s prince Charles and the Netherlands’ princess Beatrix were among the guests who laid wreaths and met veterans. 

On Saturday thousands of parachutists re-enacted the mass droppings behind enemy lines, including veteran Sandy Cortmann from Aberdeen, now aged 97.

‘I can’t remember much about the jump in 1944, we were just a bunch of young lads out for a good time if you like,’ he told the BBC.  ‘But it turned out rather terrifying in the end with the guns and mortars and things opened up. They were all aimed at us.’ 

Meanwhile,  Arnhem mayor Ahmed Marcouch has apologised to four British veterans who refused access to the VIP enclosure at one event on Friday because they did not have a ticket. 

‘We thought our medals would be good enough,’ veteran Leslie Reeves, 95, told local broadcaster Omroep Nederland

Kings and World War II veterans mark the start of 75 years of freedom

 Eight veterans who helped to liberate the Netherlands during World War II were centre stage on Saturday at a ceremony in Terneuzen to mark the start of 75 years of freedom. 

The eight, who came from Poland, America, Canada, Britain and the Netherlands, were honoured with a standing ovation at the event. Their number included 93-year-old Max Wolff, who, as a teenager, acted as an interpreter for allied troops landing who took part in the liberation of France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The festivities were kicked off by king Willem-Alexander and will continue up to the autumn of 2020, to celebrate 75 years since the launch of the United Nations. Queen Maxima and Belgian king and queen Philippe and Mathilde were also in attendance. 

Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte, who lit the freedom flame, asked in his speech if we are ‘all sufficiently aware what freedom is’. ‘For 75 years we have been free to live as we want to,’ he said. ‘The horrors of war have become abstract. That is something to cherish, to protect and to pass on to others.’

Saturday’s event marked 75 year since the Battle of the Scheldt, which is seen as a turning point in the war. During the battle, allied troops opened up the shipping route to Antwerp so the port could be used to supply allied forces in north-west Europe – a move which was crucial for the liberation of Belgium and the Netherlands. 

An international fleet of 11 navy ships fired a salvo of shots over the Westerschelde estuary as an honour to the veterans present and the 10,000 soldiers and civilians who died in the offensive. 

King Willem-Alexander then sounded the bell which was sounded in 1944 to say that the passage to Antwerp was clear.

America’s ambassador to the Netherlands Pete Hoekstra told broadcaster NOS it is important to remember the enormous sacrifices made by allied troops and the resistance. ‘We have had 75 years of freedom and prosperity,’ the ambassador said. ‘We want to continue for another 75 years.’

The last one is the best. For thousands of years on this planet, Human Beings have warred with each other. If you take a look at the reasons they warred with each other, you will quickly see there aren't any good ones - land, resources, greed. Those are not reasons. That is a description of old energy. Those are not reasons. Reasons would be perhaps defense against an aggressor. But what if there is no longer the consciousness of the aggressor?

When I appeared in my partner's life more than 20 years ago, I said to him privately that the first messages we're going to give will be unbelievable. There would be laughter. We told him that Human nature and consciousness itself would change, and that the seeds of peace would be planted and there would come a time where there is no more war. Indeed, the laughter was great because humans look at history and they see patterns based on an absolute energy called Human Nature. "Impossible! There always has to be war. There always has been. Therefore, there always will be." This is you, in a box, in a black and white potential, where you can only see the black and white of what is and the black and white of what has been. You have no idea the shades of color that are there in your consciousness and the beauty of the love of God.

North Korea is on the edge of change, as we told you it might be. What did this require? The death of the old energy, and I want you to watch this take place. The advisors of the young leader are going to do their best to pull him back into an old energy. This free choice of his will be far different than his father, for he sees some color. Watch for these things. They'll take longer than you want, but it is the beginning of the beginning.

You'll see a fresh unification of South America sooner than not, for what is going to take place potentially this year in Venezuela. You'll see Iran changing. We have no clock. These are the potentials. These can change with free choice. These are not prophecies. This is a reality shift, dear ones, so number eight becomes the propensity not to war again. This is what Humans are going to want. This is what governments are going to want. There is a wisdom factor that will begin to happen on the planet that is grander than what you think is possible. For when you look at government, what do you think about? You see dysfunction, and there is an axiom that says the more people that try to do something together, the worse it gets. It all settles to the lowest common denominator. I'm telling you even those things are going to become old energy concepts. Instead, you're going to watch wisdom become the top potential.

I have no clock. I cannot tell you when. I can just tell you it is in the works, and there will be the seeds of it for you to observe soon - right now, in every single of the eight categories I showed you.

There are those who will say, "Well, Kryon, you're doing a lot more predictions than you used to." I want to tell you what's going on, dear one. I am not predicting anything. Dutch cabinet acknowledges limited liability for Srebrenica relatives

The Dutch cabinet has acknowledged its partial liability for the death of 350 men and boys during the Srebrenica massacre, following last week’s court hearing. 

‘It is a good thing that there is now clarify,’ defence minister Ank Bijleveld said in a short statement. ‘We would once again like to express our condolences to the relatives of the victims. The Srebrenica genocide should never be forgotten.’ 

Last Friday the Dutch supreme court said Dutch UN troops were wrong to send 350 men and boys out of the Dutch military compound near Srebrenica in 1995 but that the Dutch state is just 10% responsible for their deaths at the hands of Bosnian Serbs. 

The ruling was the latest in a string of legal procedures by relatives of the 8,000 men who died during the massacre and who were under the protection of Dutch forces at the time.

 The Dutch state will now pay damages to the relatives of the 350 victims, but exactly how much still has to be calculated. 

The cabinet will look into this in the coming period, the statement said.

Prince Harry launches the Invictus Games in The Hague

Prince Harry was in The Hague on Thursday for the official launch of the Invictus Games, the annual sports competition for injured members of the armed forces which will be held in the Netherlands in May 2020. 

Harry, who became a dad for the first time three days ago, was given several presents for the new baby, including an Invictus Games baby grow by Dutch princess Margriet. 

In a short speech, the prince, who created the games in 2014, said he was ‘absolutely thrilled’ that many more injured, wounded and sick servicemen and women ‘will have the opportunity to continue the journey to their recovery’.

‘It’s your resilience, your determination and your courage which draws crowds in their thousands leaving them more inspired, moved and proud than they ever thought possible,’ the prince said.

The games take place very year and are opened to injured men and women from the armed forces all over the world. Some 500 sports men and women from 19 countries will take part in The Hague games.

The Netherlands will go quiet on May 4 for two minutes – here is why

The Netherlands remembers the Dutch victims of World War II on Saturday May 4 with Remembrance Day ceremonies throughout the country. 

Trains and cars will come to a halt and there are no take-offs and landings at Schiphol airport during two minutes’ silence, which takes place at 8pm. Shops and supermarkets are required by law to close at 7pm, and bars and restaurants warn their clients that the music will stop for a short period of reflection. 

The main event takes place on Dam square in the centre of Amsterdam, where king Willem-Alexander, queen Maxima and other dignitaries will lay wreathes at the war memorial. 

Amsterdammer Sandra Boot, 53, told DutchNews.nl she will be at the Dam as usual. ‘I always take part in the ceremony, and did so as a little girl,’ she said. ‘It is important to reflect on what people went through during the war so that we can live the way we do today.’ 

A survey by the National 4 and 5 May Committee, which supervises the events to mark the national day of remembrance and Liberation Day on May 5, said earlier this week that Dutch people valued the low-key tone of the commemorations and did not want to make them more ceremonial. 

Overall 94% of people appreciated the two minutes’ silence, while 88% backed hanging the national flag at half mast and 86% approved of playing the national anthem. 

A growing number said the commemorations should be extended to cover the war dead of all nationalities, a suggestion that has caused controversy in previous years. 

Hundreds of events 

As well as the main event, which is televisied, there will be hundreds of other ceremonies all over the country to mark different war-related events.

In particular, there will be a special ceremony at the Homomonument in Amsterdam to the gay men and women who lost their lives during WWII. 

Dia Roozemond, owner of Amsterdam café Saarein, always closes up for 90 minutes on May 4, and goes with customers to the monument to pay her respects. ‘It is very important that people remember that the way we are living in the Netherlands is due to the sacrifices of others,’ she said. 

Customers understand that the bar will close while the ceremony takes place. ‘I’ve had people leave their drinks on the table because they know they will be coming back,’ she said. ‘It is no big deal. People are used to taking part.’ 

Nationwide 

The National 4 and 5 May Committee has a listing of events taking place nationwide. 

On May 5, the Netherlands celebrates its liberation with 14 festivals all over the country, culminating in a televised concert attended by royalty on a floating stage in the Amstel river in Amsterdam.

“…  8 - The End of War

The last one is the best. For thousands of years on this planet, Human Beings have warred with each other. If you take a look at the reasons they warred with each other, you will quickly see there aren't any good ones - land, resources, greed. Those are not reasons. That is a description of old energy. Those are not reasons. Reasons would be perhaps defense against an aggressor. But what if there is no longer the consciousness of the aggressor?

When I appeared in my partner's life more than 20 years ago, I said to him privately that the first messages we're going to give will be unbelievable. There would be laughter. We told him that Human nature and consciousness itself would change, and that the seeds of peace would be planted and there would come a time where there is no more war. Indeed, the laughter was great because humans look at history and they see patterns based on an absolute energy called Human Nature. "Impossible! There always has to be war. There always has been. Therefore, there always will be." This is you, in a box, in a black and white potential, where you can only see the black and white of what is and the black and white of what has been. You have no idea the shades of color that are there in your consciousness and the beauty of the love of God.

North Korea is on the edge of change, as we told you it might be. What did this require? The death of the old energy, and I want you to watch this take place. The advisors of the young leader are going to do their best to pull him back into an old energy. This free choice of his will be far different than his father, for he sees some color. Watch for these things. They'll take longer than you want, but it is the beginning of the beginning.

You'll see a fresh unification of South America sooner than not, for what is going to take place potentially this year in Venezuela. You'll see Iran changing. We have no clock. These are the potentials. These can change with free choice. These are not prophecies. This is a reality shift, dear ones, so number eight becomes the propensity not to war again. This is what Humans are going to want. This is what governments are going to want. There is a wisdom factor that will begin to happen on the planet that is grander than what you think is possible. For when you look at government, what do you think about? You see dysfunction, and there is an axiom that says the more people that try to do something together, the worse it gets. It all settles to the lowest common denominator. I'm telling you even those things are going to become old energy concepts. Instead, you're going to watch wisdom become the top potential.

I have no clock. I cannot tell you when. I can just tell you it is in the works, and there will be the seeds of it for you to observe soon - right now, in every single of the eight categories I showed you.

There are those who will say, "Well, Kryon, you're doing a lot more predictions than you used to." I want to tell you what's going on, dear one. I am not predicting anything. “..  War - Nobody Sees What is Coming

Let's talk about war. Let's discuss something that very few are considering. What you expect next is completely and totally out of perspective of what's actually coming, because you only have one kind of knowledge about war. Your war has advanced over history with bigger explosions, higher yields and weapons that fire faster. Nuclear, laser, sound - all are far more efficient ways to terminate life. That's how war has evolved. However, there hasn't really been anything called anti-war devices, have there?

I'm going to give you an invitation for discovery, and some are already in the postulation stage of this. Multidimensional fields change 3D reality. Period. I've told you that lurking in your future are discoveries that will help you with every aspect of your life, mainly due to the discovery of what makes basic physics do what it does at the atomic level. If you fully understand multidimensionality, you can manipulate the formula for mass and create massless objects. You can even do it with the tools you have right now.

There is physics possible that can create certain kinds of fields - listen to me - certain kinds of heretofore unseen multidimensional fields that are harmless to your biology, but will alter some attributes of 3D. These fields are designer fields, and they are isolated and specifically designed for one purpose. When in the field, conventional explosive reactions can't happen. Can you imagine putting a field within rooms of a building so that no matter what weapon is fired, whether it's a machine gun or a pistol, it simply won't work! What about targeting an airplane when it drops a bomb and it won't explode? This is pure physics. The alteration of 3D reality through multidimensional designer fields, both small and large, is coming. I know you don't believe it, but just wait. As you start to discover multidimensional physics and the ability to control it, you will discover that there is a "benevolent attitude" of this kind of physics. You can't "weaponize it" as easily as you can 3D. It is an entirely different kind of reality.

Again, I tell you that when you understand how mass is created at the atomic level, you'll learn how to create massless objects. By the way, that has another name. You call it anti-gravity, but there is no such thing. It's just the ability to finally control the formula that creates gravity with mass. You understand that this is simple physics, don't you? And it's very easy to manipulate for benevolent uses through other fields that you do know about. Just like you have learned to control certain kinds of physics that are 3D, you can also control multidimensional physics. Imagine a planet where it doesn't matter what war device you had, it wouldn't work anymore! What do you think about that? Imagine physics having the ability to shatter the molecules of a biological weapon. Do you think that would change world politics? It's happening, it's going to happen. It's in the laboratory today. You're broaching the discovery of multidimensional physics. Being able to control that which you don't think is controllable is what you are doing. It's going to make such a difference to the Human race!
