… The Shift in Human Nature

You're starting to see integrity change. Awareness recalibrates integrity, and the Human Being who would sit there and take advantage of another Human Being in an old energy would never do it in a new energy. The reason? It will become intuitive, so this is a shift in Human Nature as well, for in the past you have assumed that people take advantage of people first and integrity comes later. That's just ordinary Human nature.

In the past, Human nature expressed within governments worked like this: If you were stronger than the other one, you simply conquered them. If you were strong, it was an invitation to conquer. If you were weak, it was an invitation to be conquered. No one even thought about it. It was the way of things. The bigger you could have your armies, the better they would do when you sent them out to conquer. That's not how you think today. Did you notice?

Any country that thinks this way today will not survive, for humanity has discovered that the world goes far better by putting things together instead of tearing them apart. The new energy puts the weak and strong together in ways that make sense and that have integrity. Take a look at what happened to some of the businesses in this great land (USA). Up to 30 years ago, when you started realizing some of them didn't have integrity, you eliminated them. What happened to the tobacco companies when you realized they were knowingly addicting your children? Today, they still sell their products to less-aware countries, but that will also change.

What did you do a few years ago when you realized that your bankers were actually selling you homes that they knew you couldn't pay for later? They were walking away, smiling greedily, not thinking about the heartbreak that was to follow when a life's dream would be lost. Dear American, you are in a recession. However, this is like when you prune a tree and cut back the branches. When the tree grows back, you've got control and the branches will grow bigger and stronger than they were before, without the greed factor. Then, if you don't like the way it grows back, you'll prune it again! I tell you this because awareness is now in control of big money. It's right before your eyes, what you're doing. But fear often rules. …

Own goal helps Netherlands to victory over Denmark

The Dutch kicked off their first group match at Soccer City in Soweto at 1130 UTC on Monday. Their opponents were Denmark, number 36 in the FIFA World Rankings.

Both teams were missing key players. For the Dutch, Arjen Robben did not feature in the starting line-up despite his rapid recovery from a groin injury suffered in the friendly against Mexico. He trained separately from the rest of the squad on Sunday, and coach Bert van Marwijk put him on the bench after deciding that he was not yet fully match fit, but he should be ready to face Japan in Durban on Saturday. As it turned out, he was an unused substitute.

The starting line-up was: 1 Maarten Stekelenburg; 2 Gregory van der Wiel, 3 John Heitinga, 4 Joris Mathijsen, 5 Giovanni van Bronckhorst, 7 Dirk Kuyt, 6 Mark van Bommel, 10 Wesley Sneijder, 8 Nigel de Jong, 23 Rafael van der Vaart, 9 Robin van Persie.

Prior to the match, the Netherlands had not lost an opening match at the World Cup since 1938, when Czechoslovakia beat them 3-0. After their comprehensive 6-1 defeat of Mexico in their final warm-up match nine days ago, nobody here expected anything but a win.

Danish injury concerns

Denmark expected to be missing two first-choice strikers - Nicklas Bendtner and Jon Dahl Tomasson - through injury, but Bendtner passed a late fitness test and was in the starting line-up. Quite a few of the Danish squad play their club football in the Netherlands, and Bert van Marwijk told journalists that the two national teams play a similar style: “We have enormous respect for any opponent, but also for Denmark. They are two teams that know each other through and through. We have the same ideas when it comes to football.”

The Danish team that started the match was: 1 Thomas Sörensen; 4 Daniel Agger, 3 Simon Kjaer,6 Lars Jacobsen, 15 Simon Poulsen, 10 Martin Jorgensen, 2 Christian Poulsen, 20 Thomas Enevoldsen, 12 Thomas Kahlenberg, 19 Dennis Rommedahl, 11 Nicklas Bendtner.

The first half was very disappointing, with neither side doing much to excite the crowd. The Dutch were clearly missing the width and pace of Robben, and played mainly in the centre of the pitch, which made it impossible to get beyond the Danish defenders. Van Persie had a couple of half chances, but the best chances of the half went to Denmark. On 35 minutes a long ball found Dennis Rommedahl, who went for glory when he should have passed to a teammate. His shot was easily saved by Maarten Stekelenburg.

The first yellow card of the game went to Nigel de Jong for a reckless tackle on Bendtner, a sign that some of the Dutch players were becoming frustrated at their inability to play their normal slick passing game. Thankfully, the French referee decided that there was no need to play any injury time, and the teams left the field for their half-time team talk.

Danish own goal

The Danish coach probably said something on the lines of "more of the same in the second half", but within less than a minute of the re-start that plan went out of the window, as the Danish defence botched up a clearance. Simon Poulson tried to head away a cross from Robin van Persie, but only deflected it off the back of fellow defender Daniel Agger and beyond Thomas Sörensen into the Danish net. That was what the game needed - now Denmark had to come out and try to rescue the game.

Unfortunately for Denmark, they didn't create much for the remainder of the game. Their main striker, Nicklas Bendtner, went off in the 62nd minute to be replaced by Mikkel Beckmann, and their main threat went with him. Later the youngest player in the tournament, 18-year-old Christian Eriksen who plays for Ajax, came on to replace Thomas Kahlenberg.

Key Dutch substitution

But the real match-changing substitution was when Eljero Elia replaced Rafael van der Vaart, giving the Dutch team the pace and width they had been missing. The Dutch looked far more threatening in the last quarter of the game, and Elia was unlucky when Thomas Sorensen made a brilliant save to deny him in the 84th minute. Fortunately for the Dutch, the rebound went straight to Dirk Kuyt who made the game safe.

In the 87th minute Simon Poulsen denied what looked like a third for the Dutch when he rushed back to clear the ball off the goal line after substitute Afellay had got on the end of a low cross from Kuyt.

A third goal would have flattered the Dutch who, overall, were disappointing against a poor Danish side. The Danes didn't show any signs of having the same ideas about football as the Dutch, despite what Bert van Marwijk said before the game. Hopefully Arjen Robben will be fit to start the game against Japan, when we hope to see a more expansive Dutch performance in keeping with their 4th placed FIFA ranking. In the meantime, it's a case of job done, with three points in the bag, and from now on things can surely only get better.
