… The Shift in Human Nature

You're starting to see integrity change. Awareness recalibrates integrity, and the Human Being who would sit there and take advantage of another Human Being in an old energy would never do it in a new energy. The reason? It will become intuitive, so this is a shift in Human Nature as well, for in the past you have assumed that people take advantage of people first and integrity comes later. That's just ordinary Human nature.

In the past, Human nature expressed within governments worked like this: If you were stronger than the other one, you simply conquered them. If you were strong, it was an invitation to conquer. If you were weak, it was an invitation to be conquered. No one even thought about it. It was the way of things. The bigger you could have your armies, the better they would do when you sent them out to conquer. That's not how you think today. Did you notice?

Any country that thinks this way today will not survive, for humanity has discovered that the world goes far better by putting things together instead of tearing them apart. The new energy puts the weak and strong together in ways that make sense and that have integrity. Take a look at what happened to some of the businesses in this great land (USA). Up to 30 years ago, when you started realizing some of them didn't have integrity, you eliminated them. What happened to the tobacco companies when you realized they were knowingly addicting your children? Today, they still sell their products to less-aware countries, but that will also change.

What did you do a few years ago when you realized that your bankers were actually selling you homes that they knew you couldn't pay for later? They were walking away, smiling greedily, not thinking about the heartbreak that was to follow when a life's dream would be lost. Dear American, you are in a recession. However, this is like when you prune a tree and cut back the branches. When the tree grows back, you've got control and the branches will grow bigger and stronger than they were before, without the greed factor. Then, if you don't like the way it grows back, you'll prune it again! I tell you this because awareness is now in control of big money. It's right before your eyes, what you're doing. But fear often rules. …

Millions of chinese women cannot find Mr. Right

NRC International, 12 January 2010 19:25, by Oscar Garschagen in Shanghai

In China’s major cities, millions of female lonely hearts are hard pressed to find a man that can live up to their standards.

Of course Ding Ji Qing (29) knows that China has a surplus of single men. But what good do demographic statistics do her?

“A lot of farmers and migratory workers are looking for wives, but me marry one? Out of the question. I would rather be single,” the Chinese woman said.

The Chinese Academy for Social Sciences published a report yesterday on the growing number of male singles. In rural areas, 24 million young men are unable to find wives. The discrepancy is the result of China’s one-child policy and “gender-specific” abortions. Farmers prefer male heirs. That is why few girls are born in the countryside, noted the Academy, which opposes the one-child policy.

According to the Academy, in major cities, where the policy has already been revoked, the situation is reversed. In Shanghai alone, Ding Ji Qing shares her fate with a million others. In Guangzhou, the numbers are no different. In Beijing, half a million women remain single. According to marriage brokers, in cities like Shenzhen and Dongguan unmarried men outnumber women by as much as one to five.

Women have high standards

The problem, according to the state-run media, is that these single men are often immigrant labourers who have low social status in the eyes of women.

“I really don’t know what to talk about with someone who is not in my social class. We would have nothing in common,” say the well educated, fashionable brethren of Ding Ji Qing. Women who prefer to go shopping in Hong Kong or London.

Their lists of demands for a prospective marriage partner: not unattractive, modern, well educated and employed and preferably in possession of his own apartment. He must be willing to tie the knot quickly. Living together out of wedlock will not go over well with the family.

“I will turn 29 soon. I am almost 30. If you are not married before 30 in China, you can forget about it. No one wants to marry a woman that old. Al my cousins and friends from school are married already or soon will be. I don’t want to be the last desperate case left,” Ding Ji Qing sighed.

Her father and mother call her every other day. Their conversations inevitably end in fights over the issue closest to their hearts. The weekends she spends at her parent’s place inexorably end in discord.

Curbside marriage markets

“Everybody is involved. Even my aunts and grandmothers are getting in on it,” she said. They too can’t wait till their young relative gets married.

Her parents have –so far – fallen short of visiting one of China’s public matrimonial markets with a picture of their daughter and a winning description of her personality in hand. The markets are a common sight in the parks of big cities: fathers and mothers, looking for prospective candidates for their offspring, take to the parks bearing homemade signs advertising their child.

Many think a modern style marriage broker might offer solace to the lonely hearts. In Shanghai-Pudong a retired teacher, Fan Benliang, hosts a salon for singles in a local tea house every Saturday night.

Her methods are simple: lonely hearts, both men and women, register with her. She then checks their academic credentials, and employment and residential papers. Privacy is guaranteed.

On thing was immediately obvious on a recent Saturday night amidst singles crowding the upper floor of the tea house: that men outnumbered women, by 287 to 25 to be exact.

Getting lucky: easy for some

With the introductions out of the way, the crowd dispersed into groups according to aunt Fan’s instructions. Every boy found himself surrounded by six to seven young women: speeddating China style. Fan, meanwhile, encouraged everyone not to be shy.

According to Fan, well educated women below 30 demand things in a prospective husband that their mother and grandmothers would not have dreamt of. “Women have become more self-conscious and, perhaps, materialistic. I often tell them to look beyond the exterior,” she explained.

Still, she was reluctant to pass judgment easily. “In the end, it is progress. Gold diggers will always be around, but they are a minority,” Fan said.

“Young men who are well educated and have good jobs are selling like hot cakes. If they are rich as well, they are fought over, sometimes even physically. There is even plenty interest in divorced men in their 40s with a job and a house.”

Ding Ji Qing did not get very lucky on that Saturday night. But the young men all left with dates in their diaries.
