GroenLinks leader Jesse Klaver is the only Dutch person to feature on new Time Magazine talent ranking ‘Next’, which spotlights 100 rising stars ‘shaping the future of business, entertainment, sports, politics, science, health and more’.
Klaver is one of 21 ‘leaders’ on the list and is described as a ‘major force’ behind the green wave currently being experienced within the European Union. ‘Klaver is not alone—green parties in other EU countries have gained momentum in recent months—but the 33-year-old’s legislative success has made him exemplary of a bigger shift,’ Time says.
The youngest person on this list is 14-year-old figure-skater Alysa Liu, who recently became the first US woman to land a quadruple Lutz in competition. The oldest is Ayman Odeh, a politician who, at 44, ‘has emerged as a potential kingmaker in Israeli politics’, Time said.
