| Former US President Bill Clinton |
Over 3,000 people defied rain, wind and cold to hear former US President Bill Clinton speak at an open-air event in the northern province of Friesland.
President Clinton was the star speaker at a conference organised by insurance company Achmea to mark its 200th anniversary.
There were some 200 Dutch speakers.
The gathering was held in the Frisian village of Achlum, where the company has its roots.
Security was extremely tight, and only people who had registered were allowed in.
