Ajax captured its 30th Dutch league title Sunday with a 3-1 win over FC Twente.
Ajax took the lead in the 23rd minute when Siem de Jong met a cross from defender Gregory van der Wiel and unleashed a shot from a difficult angle that gave Twente goalkeeper Nikolay Mihaylov no chance.
Twente midfielder Denny Landzaat doubled Ajax's lead in the 46th, beating his own goalkeeper with a bullet header as he tried to clear another Van der Wiel cross.
Twente pulled a goal back with midfielder Theo Janssen's curling shot from 20 meters, but De Jong scored again in the 78th to seal Ajax's first crown since 2004.
Ajax ended the season with 73 points, two more than Twente, which beat Ajax last Sunday to win the Dutch Cup.
