Diponegoro University to Establish International Office

TEMPO Interactive, Semarang:Diponegoro University (Undip) will establish an international office to assist foreign students who want to study there. “Undip does not have services for foreign students who want to study here,” Assistant Rector IV, Muhammad Nur said yesterday. Most foreign students rely on information from the website. “Yet, website information is insufficient,” added Nur. Undip is also determined to be included in the list of World Class Indonesian Universities. In 2009, Undip is ranked 501 of best universities in the world.

At present, Undip is preparing the supporting tools to establish the international office, such as describing and defining the tasks, authorities, and functions of the international office more clearly. Undip will also design effective marketing strategies to get international students and draw their interest in studying at Undip.

If I were to wager a guess at why, I’d say that users don’t “browse” forms. The interaction style users engage in with forms is different, and requires its own study and design best practices.
